Superb, friendly “Hideaway Site”
Initially booked in for 1 night but found Dave & Leslie so friendly and helpful that we extended our stay for a second night. The site is a bit awkward to find using a satnav as ours wanted to take us the shortest route which is not the easiest. Dave or Leslie can give you the best route if you call them. The site actually has more facilities than indicated on the C&CC web site and as such is a little gem as a CS location. As a “Hideaway site” we have to award it 11 out of 10. Yes it is that good!! We will definitely make it one of our preferred stops when we are next in the area.

Wanted a few days away walking
What a marvellous little site excellent walking from the campsite would definitely recommend, shower and toilet spotless along with an ample fridge. I will certainly be coming again just a mile away from the Weavers way.

This is a gem situated in the quiet countryside.
This is a gem situated in the quiet countryside. Dave and Lesley make you feel very welcome from the start. We have a camper van and like the outdoors. The site has large sized pitches, is reasonably level and with an electricity supply. The small amenities block has a toilet and separate shower with a good supply of hot water, a fridge and a sink and drainer. You can buy free range eggs and there is a small book swop available. Stargazing was great and to hear the owls in the wood, without them keeping us awake, was delightful. We cycled in the area and Blickling Hall (NT) is a good visit. By car there are numerous places to visit including the coast. This is definitely on our ‘campsite worth returning too’ list.

Excellent, secluded and well kept site with immaculate WC/shower and washing up area.
Excellent, secluded and well kept site with immaculate WC/shower and washing up area. Very friendly owners who obviously take pride in their business. Slight slope in parts but easy pitching overall. Adjacent to woodland with many walks nearby. Dog friendly and handy for the coast and lovely villages, also close to the Broads. Many pubs/cafes etc Abundant wildlife can be seen from the well spaced and sheltered pitches. We would highly recommend this site and intend to return.

Tranquil hideaway site We have stayed twice here and both times Dave & Lesley couldn’t have been more accommodating.
Tranquil hideaway site We have stayed twice here and both times Dave & Lesley couldn’t have been more accommodating. Very peaceful site situated halfway between the coast and the Broads. Very clean toilet and shower block. This site is perfect for those who enjoy the peace and tranquility of the countryside. We will definitely go again.

A really peaceful site with absolutely no road noise at any time.
A really peaceful site with absolutely no road noise at any time. Lovely dark skies. The only reason that I can’t give 5 stars to this is the layout of the facilities. They are scrupulously clean so no complaints there. This is the first CS we have stayed on. The pitch sizes are excellent – loads of room and extremely well maintained and pretty flat although you will need chocks on a couple of the pitches. The owners are really friendly and even supply a printed map of the nearest town with important info. My only negative comment would be that on a couple of days, there were there were 8 units on the site, including four tents and a total of around 25 people including a number of children. As the facility is all in one building we weren’t comfortable going in when someone was washing up or using the shower. It was particularly difficult when the campers allowed their children to play in the building. Having said all that, when we were on our own, or with only another couple of units, which we were for most of our stay, it was idyllic. For the beach, I would strongly recommend Bacton with free parking, partly dog friendly and superb sands. Mundesely has a brilliant crazy golf course! The Three Cottages fish and chips were superb as was The Jade Chinese – both just three miles away in North Walsham. Waitrose and Sainsburys also in the town. For fantastic scones and cakes go to Home Bakery opposite Santander in the market place. For a lovely day out, try Fairhaven Water Gardens in South Walsham.
